The Prime Minister has reshuffled eleven Permanent Secretaries on the recommendation of the Public Service Commission.
Agriculture, Water and Forestry Permanent Secretary Andrew Ndishishi moves to the Minsitry of Health and Social Services.
His counterpart at the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Joseph Iita, will replace him at Agriculture, while Kahijoro Kahuure from the Ministry of Health will take over at the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
The Permanent Secretaries at the Office of the President and the Ministry of Safety and Security, Dr Ndeutala Angolo and Samuel /Goagoseb respectively, will swap portfolios.
Regional and Local, Housing and Rural Development Permanent Secretary Erastus Negonga will also swap with Sirkka Ausiku at the Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare.
George Simataa from the Ministry of Works and Transport moves to the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, taking over from Peter Mwatile who will go to the Ministry of Works.
Dr Peingondjabi Shipoh from the Ministry of Youth, National Service, Sport and Culture will swap places with Steve Katjiuanjo at the Ministry of Justice.
Prime Minister Nahas Angula says in a media release that the changes are in line with the recent call by President Hifikepunye Pohamba to ensure that planned projects and programmes are implemented on time and within budget.
The reshuffle took effect on Friday.
